What is Career Technical Education?
CTE courses are developed in partnership with business and industry to provide students with the world-class knowledge and skills necessary to become successful and contributing members of society. For more information about CTE visit: LAUSD CTE

CTE Pathways:
Pathway is a sequence of courses within a student's area of career interest. Pathways are designed to connect both middle school and high school classes to college, industry certification and/or a career.

High School Articulation:
An articulation between a middle school and a high school is an agreement that prepares middle school students for an approved high school CTE program. The basic philosophy of articulation is to help students explore CTE pathways and develop an educational plan to make a smooth transition from a middle school to a high school in the same CTE pathway(s). Hale Charter Academy CTE program has articulation agreenents with the following high schools:
  • Taft Charter HS:  Engineering Design and Computer Science
  • Canoga Park HS: Engineering Design and Animal Science
